Hello everyone, 

First I want to say sorry that we had to cancel the pasta party last night.  The radar was not looking good during our decision making window and we made the best call we could at the time.  We know many of you prepared items to bring, and we hope you were able to enjoy those with your family.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. 

The Award Banquet and Pool party will take place tomorrow night from 7-10 p.m. on the Fawn Lake pool deck.  Dinner, drinks, and desserts will be served.  You do not need to bring any food to this event.  If you signed up to bring water bottles to the pasta party, please bring those in a cooler to the award banquet.  Any other food that was prepared for the pasta party should be enjoyed at home with your family. We will not have space for any additional food items.  

Rough Timeline for Awards

Arrive at 7 p.m. 

Dinner & Desserts will be served from 7-7:30 p.m.  If seconds, are available, it will be announced after that window. 

7:30 Award Ceremony begins (you may continue eating during this time)

~ 8:30 Pool Party begins

10 p.m. Pool party ends 

Notes: 

• Our Fawn Lake Fliers often like to dress up for this event.  There will be a backdrop set up for photos.  Be sure to grab a few photos with your swimmers and their awards after the ceremony!  Suits can be worn under the dress clothes for easy changing afterwards. 
• If there is bad weather, we will move into the community center for the dinner and awards ceremony.  If there any any changes, they will be sent out via Swimtopia
• Please remind swimmers to be respectful of lifeguards and to clean up after themselves.  
• In order to keep things moving, swimmers should hold their applause for each age/gender group to receive their awards and then may clap at the end of each group.  
• The award ceremony part may be difficult for younger swimmers to sit through.  Please plan accordingly. The pool is off limits, including the baby pool, during dinner and award ceremony.  
• Please do not leave your child's award behind at the end of the night!  
• Awards that are not picked up at the award ceremony must be picked up within the window given by the board at their discretion.  Awards will be placed in storage until next season after that window expires.  We do not want to store trophies for a year!  Please pick up your award in a timely manner if you cannot make the award ceremony tomorrow night.  

Tomorrow is a long but fun day!  Rest up tonight and we will see you tomorrow!
