Good morning Fawn Lake Fliers! 

Just 3 more days of swim team until the end of our season! It has been one to remember! Thank you so much to the following parents who assisted with set up and serving pancakes at Christmas in July yesterday morning - Amy Huesgan, Claire Bogusz, Layla Hopwood, Laura Visioni, Dana Taormina and Nicholas Forbes.  Be sure to check out our instagram page to see pictures of the kids all decked out in their Christmas attire.   Thank you to Jour Del Monte for organizing this and pulling it off so seamlessly! 

Announcements and important info

1. The movie scheduled for today has been canceled.  We encourage rest leading up to Champs so feel free to schedule your own time at the movies today or tomorrow to keep kids out of the sun and preserving their energy! 
2. Please ensure your child attends the last practice tomorrow and is on time and ready to work.  All children swimming in champs are expected to attend practice to prepare for their events. 
3. Pasta Party tomorrow night is from 5:30-7 p.m. Please sign up here to bring a pasta dish to share.  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084badab2faafa7-pasta#/ Do not forget to bring a serving utensil as they will not be provided. Bottled water will be provided, but if you'd like other beverages please bring your own. 
4. Arrival times for Champs have changed slightly - please review the updated times here: 
   • 10 & Under Arrival time - 6:30 a.m. Warm-up starts at 7 a.m. 
     • Meet begins at 8 a.m. 
   • 11 & Up Arrival time - 10:30 a.m., Warm up starts at 11 a.m.
   • • Second session begins at 12 noon 
     • Third session begins approximately 2:10 p.m.
   • Meet to end by 5:20 p.m.

5. Award Ceremony and End of Season Pool Party will be from 7-10 p.m. at the Fawn Lake Pool.  Please bring a dessert to share along with a serving utensil.  If you purchase a cake, please pre-cut it for easy serving.  Individual pieces are much easier to serve than large cakes.  Paper plates, napkins, and plasticware will be provided.  Bottled water left over from Friday night will be brought to the dessert party but you may want to bring your own as well.  Award ceremony and coach recognitions will be from 7-8 p.m.  Desserts will be served immediately following the ceremony, and the pool will be open for swimming from 8-10 p.m. Please remind your children to respect the lifeguards on duty and to clean up after themselves!  Our team's future approval by the HOA depends on swim team behavior and conduct at events like these. Last year we had huge amounts of trash and other items left behind after this event.  We are asking for all parents and swimmers to assist in clean up as everyone is going to be tired at the end of this very fun, but long day! 
   
6. If you are not able to attend the award ceremony, please make arrangements to pick up your swimmer's final awards via porch pick up at 11201 Bluffs View.  Awards will be left on the porch for exactly 1 week after the event. After that, they will be placed in storage and will only be available for pick up at the discretion and convenience of a Fawn Lake Fliers board member. Please make it a priority to pick up your awards promptly. 

We are near the finish line! Thank you for all you have done to support our swim team this season!! We could not do this without your commitment and sacrifice!
