Important Details and Volunteer needs for End-of-Season Awards Ceremony and Pool Party - Please read!

    Dear Fawn Lake Fliers Families,

As you know, tomorrow is the last day of swim team for the 2022 summer Fliers season! It will be a long yet rewarding day for all of our swimmers and swim team families, and we want to honor everyone's hard work and dedication with a special celebration after champs in the evening. That being said, we urgently need YOUR help to pull off the end of the year party. Sign up Genius for Dessert Party

We recognize that there have been many emails this week and many swim-team related events and it is easy to overlook some of the announcements and emails.  Due to many people being on vacation or choosing not to attend champs, we are short on volunteers and help for tomorrow's meet as well as our end of year party and award ceremony.

The board and coaching staff are working overtime to pull Champs off, therefore we are looking for additional helpers to set up and break down/clean up for the party tomorrow. If you are not attending champs but plan for your child to attend the end of year party, we are asking that you sign up to bring a dessert to share as well as to help with set up or break down. We currently have only 5 people signed up to bring dessert and 4 people signed up to bring a savory snack. The board will not be able to provide extra food for this event so please be sure to contribute so we can make this a special and exciting end of season celebration for our Fliers! Expectations for swimmers at the award ceremony are as follows:

    1) Dessert party is for Fawn Lake Fliers and their families only.  Please do not invite friends to this event.

    2) All swimmers are expected to be attentive during the initial remarks and award ceremony portion of the event.  No one should be in the pool swimming during this time.  Encourage your children to be respectful while coaches are speaking and honor their teammates' achievements.

    3) Dessert and snacks will be served AFTER the ceremony is over.  Parents should direct swimmers and their siblings toward the award ceremony and away from the dessert table until it the ceremony is complete.

    4) Please be respectful of other community members using the pool during this time.  We were not able to reserve the pool or the clubhouse for Fliers Families only this year.

    5) The Fawn Lake beach area will be closed due to E.Coli levels. Do not allow your child to play on the beach or go in the water during this event.

If you have any questions re: this event, please free to reach out to any board member.

We look forward to celebrating another amazing summer swim season tomorrow night at the pool!

    Thank you!
